Square 1 The subject stands ready to kick the ball. The ball is next to the subject's feet. The subject kicks the ball at about 50 feet away from the goal. Square 2 The subject winds up and kicks the ball. The subject misses the shot. The subject needs something to help him be more accurate when kicking balls. Square 3 After kicking the ball and missing the goal, the subject is shown drinking Gatorade in a close up shot. This action increases the subjects accuracy. Square 4 The subject is standing next to the ball again, ready to kick the ball.  Square 5 The subject kicks the ball again. It makes it into the goal. It only makes it in because the subject drank Gatorade. Square 6 After, the Gatorade logo is shown for about 2-3 seconds. The Gatorade logo is a G with a lightning bolt inside of it.

Research Blog: Commercial Conventions

My group is doing a Gatorade commercial, in which the audience sees people participating in physical activities such as sports. The subjects drink the beverage sometime during the commercial, usually towards the middle or end. Various athletic wear is worn, varying from everyday people in shorts, loose-fitted shirts, sports bras and tennis shoes to celebrity athletes in their team uniform: jerseys and athletic shoes. Props are the items used in whatever event the subject is participating in such as a swimming pool, goals, soccer balls, benches, and basketballs. Also included is whatever the subject drinks Gatorade from, for example a branded cup. The set is usually a setting for athletic events, such as a field for soccer, a basketball court, or a track course. The actors, if not celebrities, are seemingly normal people who tend toward the athletic side. Background music is usually not made for the commercial, but licensed. It is typically fast-paced rock that, if not originally fast

Planning blog: Gatorade Commercial

Props: Since my group is going to be producing a Gatorade Commercial, our main prop is going to be a Gatorade bottle. Other props we will use will include a soccer ball and a goal. Costumes: In our commercial, we will have one group member as the subject. They will be wearing athletic wear. They will wear athletic shorts, sneakers, and a sportswear shirt. Schedule: On 9/22, our group will research different kinds of sports drinks commercials to understand what they should be like. We will also establish the backup plan, costumes, props, schedule, and location list. On 9/24, our group will create the storyboard for our 30 second commercial. On 9/28, our group will film the required shots for our commercial. On 9/30, our group will edit the film to the point where it is complete and acceptable. Location List: Our main location is the soccer field. The actor will be filmed kicking a soccer ball into a goal. This shows that drinking Gatorade improves the performance of athletes. Our secon

My name is Kyle and I will be working with my brother for this project. I think it will be good to work with him because we are in the same class. Since we are in the same class and there are restrictions in place, it works out nicely. It is also convenient because we can talk basically whenever we want to. I also feel he will get his part of the work done. I know he will because of he doesn't, I can just go to our parents and tell them. They will force him to do work. So I don't have to worry about that. I think we might do something like me kicking a ball into a goal. Then, I might hold up a bottle of energy drink or some sports clothes. Then, the logo of whatever we are selling will appear.     I was planning on working with another kid in my class. His name is Christian. He wanted to work with me so I said yes. This was before I realized that the kid sitting next to me wanted to work together. I only know the kid who sits next to me because we both like to play chess. I th

Introduction

Hi, my name is Kyle. I'm a sophomore at Fort Lauderdale High School. I like playing chess, other board games, video games, and driving. I can't exactly say why I like chess. I just like that there is always room for improvement. I also like how every single opponent that I have faced is at least a little bit different. Chess is also very different from every single other board game there is. It also takes brain power to play it. I also like other board games because they are fun. I am a very competitive person and so I like playing and winning and type of board game. I only play video games because they are fun and they waste time. I'm 15 and I got my learners license recently. I've driven 3 times for about an hour each time. I like it because it is fun and weird controlling something so big. I am excited because I will soon be able to drive on my own. Without having to have my dad sitting next to me.      I'm excited to start working because I think this class is
